We are so pleased to be able to share that today we received the funds needed for Olivtina's operation and they are on their way to Kyrgyzstan . This is a great relief. We also have an update about Rada and her surgery .. At first the message came threw that it was great news that she survived the surgery . Now the update is that she is now home and recovering. We have been using the earnings from the guest house to continue some care and support for her. We have brought her family food, and in the next couple weeks we will bring her 3 of her children to the bazar for clothes and school supplies .. something they have been very worried about.
Its not just Rada concerned about this . there are about 700 kids that we have been asked to help with school supplies . The cost per child is $25 USD . that makes this a huge need , however we have not had any donations in toward this, and we only have a few weeks before we need to start purchasing and packing supplies . Kids must bring their own supplies if they would like to attend school. Please consider helping with this.
The garden is doing well . because of the water shortages, we had a much smaller garden this year, but it was planted high density with landscaping cloth and drip irrigation so we should still get a reasonable yeald.

Julie and I along with one friend Nick will be leaving here on Aug 23. flying through Istambul we will meet up with Jayne schooler and a friend of hers, then all land together early morning of Aug 25.
We will have 6 bags with us this trip that we would like to fill with needed supplies like Vitamins ... Oh and coffee.
We have set up the Amazon wish list again where you can purchase and the items will be shipped directly to me so I can pack and bring them .
