A couple days ago a friend of ours celebrated her birthday. She has seen a post I had shared about asking FB friends to not just post a quick happy birthday on your wall for your birthday, but make a small donation on actofkindness using the Aliya's angles link.
Aliya is a darling little girl who was born in Tokmok and now lives with her forever family in NewJersey. Every year at her birthday she asked that her friends make a donation to help the kids of Kyrgyzstan
In 24 hours Kristy friends raised $300. We talked to Kristy, and she would like the funds to go to help with winter coats. The cost of a good winter coat here in Tokmok is about $30 to $40 . but we have a great opportunity here to bless so many . Aigula and Aiperie make great quality coats and blankets, and can custom make them for us for 1000 som, or $20. at this price they will even make a bit of money to support their "safe house" .. great deal all around .
Saturday we will begin fitting the kids here .. so far 15 kids / students will be celebrating with Kristy .. But it does not have to stop there. If any one else would like to sponsor a coat or a blanket, please donate using the link on the side and just say Coat or Blanket in the memo box.
