We were up and on the road before the sun this morning. We saw it rise as we were driving out to the orpha age to wave the kids off to Lake Issyk Kul
It's a great big bus but it needs to be to carry 80 kids plus shaperons and even a couple police officers .
The kids were pretty excited to be going
There was a day when we would have been on that bus with the kids , but now we are happy to wave them off.
We then went out to see Tanya . Her youngest was born 2 months early and had a lot of health issues. One of them was a hernia. They could not operate until he was eight months old. So next week he is scedualed for surgery. She has asked us if we could find someone to help with that. It is going to be $300.
We left her with an assurance that the operation would be covered .. she has enough to be worried about right now.. so the $300 is up to is to worry about now haha.
After visiting we went into town and did some shopping to get the guest house ready for the family coming. A couple days ago we found a used fridge for them that is bigger then the bar fridge we had.. they will be able to use it, then when they go, we will bring it to one of the hospitals that have asked us for one.
But for now it is stocked up with food ready for a family of 10.
We also added an oven and a gas hot plate so they have everything for cooking .
The cupboard is stocked up as well. Enough to do them for a few days until they get settled in.
Even a cupboard of new cleaning supplies and extra towels .
And of course a basket of toys for the smaller kids .
I I am typing this , they are on a complimentary tour of Istambul provided by Turkish air if you have a long layover.
Tonight Jayne will be heading for the airport. Her flight leaves at 2:30 and the family arrives at 4:30 . It's going to be a busy night.
