Forced to grow up

This summer I shared about a young boy in one of the orphanages here that tried to commit suicide.. He felt that no one loved him, and that he was alone... We had friend visit him and his brother. We had some other great kids speak with him, and we brought he and the other orphans on an exciting outing to try to recreate a bond so he would be comfortable returning to the orphanage....

When I arrived here, my first stop was to go to that orphanage and see him... as soon as he saw me, he stopped and ran the other direction... I was not sure what was happening, then seconds later he was back with two very well worn notes that were written to him by David and I... he then carefully place the notes over his heart and gave me a big hug so the notes were pressed between our hears...
who says we can not communicate without words.....

Sunday we found out that he and his brother were transferred to another orphanage. I am sure that the dissuasion to move him was meant to be in good faith, and that it was not meant to malicious, but with out a true understanding of children and trauma, how can someone make such decisions... This is why David and Jayne are here with their friends... maybe one day with their help, things like this will stop happening, and our friends will not be kept so busy picking up the pieces....Some things just happen and some are avoidable... We were concerned for them, so we found out were they were moved to and went for a visit Yesterday... We were told that they had run away.... right away, I knew were they were, and was making arrangements to go visit them... The director said that it took them 3 or 4 days to figure out were they might be. and will be getting them in a couple days, but they know that as soon as they see anyone they will run....

We will go there in a few hours to see him... We will park at the end of the little village, and David and I will go on foot... when they see us they will run... to us.......I have told the director that we will try to talk them into returning , and make sure they are safe, but we will not break there trust and force them to do anything ... they are only children, but in this society children are forced to grow up fast... please remember him today
