My new butler .....

So in case anyone is worried about me being here by myself , you can stop... I have inadvertently got myself a butler.... let me explain...

One of the large families of kids we have been supporting has a brother that still lives at home with the parents... he is a really good kid, and I think he could be a vital part of us being able to help the parents get their lives back on track... I suggested that he come stay with us for a week to get to know him better, and have a chance for Jengishes grace to influence him... he knows Jengish as It was Jengish that helped him get his paperwork so he could go back to school this fall.

As hard as I have tried, I have not been able to explain to him that he is not here as my servant... this morning for example, I got up to breakfast on the table, and a fresh pot of something similar to coffee.... by the time I came out of the bathroom, My bed was made, and on the foot of the bed were all my dirty clothes... cleaned, pressed and folded... as I walked past the front door, the final clincher... my second hand store shoes where at the door, clean AND POLISHED.... you can see your face in them... they look like new... I had no idea that they were actually a dress shoe....

OK so something has got to be done about this .... If you know me you will know that I am not the butler type.... at least they still let me cook supper.... maybe that will have to be the one area of control that I maintain..lol....

All kidding aside, I am siting here wondering what to do about this.... I know that he is doing this because this is the only thing that he has to offer for thanks , and if this giving is blessing him, I don't want to rob that, on the other hand, I need him to know that he is not second class , and what we do we do because it the right thing to do...... Jengish is going to have to deal with this one....in the mean time I have a new butler !

A friend taught me a valuable lesson.
She told me I was SELFISH because I always gave to her and would not allow her the priviledge of feeling good by giving back to her. It is difficult and humbling for a "giver" to be a "receiver" but even Jesus allowed his feet to be washed. May God give you wisdom to deal with this situation.

Hey...your place is looking great. Nice shiny floor and the works. Seems there is a lot of giving back going on over there!

Your neighbors! Lynn and Ruby
