Cought of guard !

Every now and then, emotions rise up that I am not expecting..... I had that happen today. Today we were on a hunt to find three babies that had been moved to different orphanages from where their adoptive parents new them to be. I have been praying for these kids and their parents... so I don't know what I was expecting, But as I stood there in the directors office of one of the orphanages and showed her my list of kids and information, I almost started to cry as one by one she read the names and said yes we have him , yes we have her..... one by one.... they were all there, and they were all doing great. They had been moved to this orphanage because the one they were in was becoming crowded. As the relief washed over me, I just thought of their families...... I explained to the director that if there was anything that they needed please let me know. She says that they are all doing fine. While there, we delivered shoes for all the walking kids . Here is a photo of our translator and friend Acel with the sales ladies showing some of the shoes we bought... I think that as excited as the director was with the shoe's, I think she was more excited when we gave her some resent photo's of children that had been adopted from there in the past... She told us all about each of them .
We also had opportunity to visit with Nickolai today as well. He was so happy to see us. He is no longer stuck in bed, but has movement back in his legs... he even walked out to the car with us. We had a good heart to heart talk with him. He understands that we are just the blessed ones to get to see him, but others around the world have sent us by faith and that there is a whole community behind him.... Not that long ago... he was feeling all alone and forgotten.... Today we discussed what possible planes God has for him now... He has decided that he will be around another 30 years.....
Tonight the girls have gone out to the village they are planing a trip with 15 of the older kids to the big flamingo amusement park in the capital city on Saturday... They have the transportation and translators in place.... Now they are working on snacks and drinks...they are trying to convince us that the best way to finish the day would be Pizza and Pop at the Metro Bar and Grill .... Julie and I stayed back to try to get unpacked from last week.... so Julie is asleep and I am blogging..... maybe tomorrow.....

Glad it all worked out and you found the babies..it seems easy to misplace the kids, doesn't with so few people around to take care of them. glad you were able to provide something concrete. God is definitely good!!..so keep on plugging on and we will keep doing what we can do from this end and Praise God He is real, eh?..say hi to all and love from the lehmans.

John,
I read your blog almost every day, although I have not commented much. I am blown away by your experiences there...and secretly wishing things had worked out so I could have visted. We are still in limbo with our adoption plans and likely will not know more until mid-July, when we hope there is good news.

What youa re doingthere is incredible, the day to day connections, God's love being shared. You and I are far more alike than we might think...memorizing scripture is great, bible study is important...but it pales in comparison to paraphrasing Nike and "Just Do It". That is what you are for me, my Nike Man! Hahaha! I hope that one day we may meet, and perhaps you will make another mission trip that I can accompany you on, maybe even with a former orphan or two in tow. What a dream that would be.

In the meantime, I am hoping maybe you can send a message. Kenny has a friend named Amir (we think, his speech makes it hard to be certain) who he thinks is 6 or 7 and in the Tokmok orphanage. He also has/had a cleft and lived at Belevodsk orphanage when he was younger. Kenny would dearly love to see a picture or two of him and to have someone let him know that Toktogul (Kenny) is praying for him every day to find a family. If you can locate him and spend time with him, we'd appreciate it and would forward money to you to provide him with some clothes, shoes, toys or whatever you may find he needs. I don't know if you have a printer there and can print off photos of Kenny to share with Amir, but it seems Kenny really loves him very much and asks about him all the time. Anything you can do would be a big blessing for our family. Also, if you could find out if Amir is avaialble for adoption we would gladly advocate for him.

Long comment, I know, but there is much to share and not enough time to do it! Send your family well wishes, we hold you all in prayer often, and please let us know if there are other needs we can help with. We don't have much but can share what we do have! Much love your way, Cindy LaJoy

Incredible reports of making liftime differences in peoples lives. No doubt in my mind that you are in the Wright place and the Wright time for the Wright reasons.
Keep safe and keep the blogs going, they truly are an inspiration to those that know you but more so to those that do not.

Thankfully we will be seeing you soon, but not soon enough and our time there will seem all too short, but just one encounter with the Holy Spirit is all anyone needs to do the Wright Stuff :)

Blessings

Dan :)

Not only are you a blessing to the people of Kyrgyzstan, but to the adoptive community as well! Thank you for being a light to those that are here in the States as well. I know how much it meant to those families to receive word that their little ones are safe and well. Made me cry...

Hey John! Great news on finding the babies. Got a call today about a group of 4-H kids in middle school who are petitioning their school to let them take up items for the kids in orphanages in your area. I have several items listed from other adoptive parents who've been there recently. I'm still working on the slippers/flip-flops as well. If you have a specific thing these kids can gather, email me at mblatham@charter.net. I plan to bring what they collect when we travel. Still no referral, but hopefully in a few weeks and hope to travel in May/June for Trip 1. Isn't God AWESOME the way He works???? Keep up the great work. I love the photos and am using your blog as a reference for these kids to share with their families and their teachers. Hoping God breaks it wide open and sends lots of help!
