Another day to remember

Paula just got home from a wonderful weekend at the beach in Issyk Kol.

The kids had an absolute blast ... this is the kind of thing that they will remember for there whole lives... It is also the kind of thing that they will be able to hold on to to give them hope for a future... It assures them that someone cares for them... The timing of this trip was so awesome...
My young friend and his brother were able to go along. It will give his mind something positive to think about ....
So many of you have had a part in making special days like this happen.. I can not say enough how grateful we are for all the support. Sometimes we think that the economic crisis's is only here, and that the kids would not know of the worlds woe's, but that is not the case... every day they hear of the crises as there care givers are cut back, as the food budgets are slashed, as they hear the worried conversations from every one around them.... In the middle of such hard and uncertain economic times, It sends a loud and clear message to them that they still matter. In a time when an event like this would have been written off in their minds as not possible this year.... You guys pulled it off.... and a special thanks to Paula and Sergey & Anya for all your help and planning... I hope you enjoy this little video of the day at the beach... as you are watching it, try to imagine just how this has impacted these kids.....

John- what a beautiful video. I see my little boys eyes in so many of the children's faces. I'm happy that they had a day filled with JOY! Our family prays every day for Kyrgyzstan and especially the orphans.
