The Face of disapointment .......

My Last post I talked about the faces of Joy................Today I must share about the face of disappointment .....

I don't know when it happened, or just h0w it happened, but at some point in this journey, we were blessed with a third Daughter... The above is a photo of our three girls in the mountains.. Altynai had come from a very difficult start in life, and has done so well in the time she has been with us..

This summer was supposed to be an exciting one for all of us.. We had applied for a visa for her to spend the summer with us in Canada.. we felt it would be great for her English, as well as a tremendous boost to her . There is an entire group of youth not just Emma and Bekah that are looking forward to seeing her again... they got to know her on a trip over last spring.

This morning we got word that she has been turned down for the visa... despite the fact that she met all the requirements, and jumped through all the hoops, the answer was no... an arbitrary decision by someone in an office far from both of us that for all we know was just having a bad day... whats worse is that it appears that any appeal has to be submitted in writing, and will be looked at with in 21 days... by that time the summer would be over, It already took them a full month to process the first application...

All I can think about is how disappointed/devastated she will be right now.... life has struck her another blow... and this time from MY government.... I want to say so much more on that , but I will hold my tongue until I have a chance to discuss this decision with my Member of Parliament.

That stinks!!! I was looking forward to meeting her and I am sure she was looking forward to seeing where there are so many kind poeple. So many people that care about the wellbeing of a small voice. That stinks.

Hey, no fair.........I know how much Altynai will be disappointed in this news. We were so looking forward to treating her like the Princess that she is.

I know that somewhere in this there is a purpose, when that purpose is revealed then we will understand, until then.......well.... we wont

Altynai.....you are an amazing woman, you will someday soon reap the rewards of the love you sow each day.

Blessings

Dan :)

That is rotten! I am sorry for all of you , I know how disappointed you must be. There will be another time and when it comes it will be perfect!

Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes not knowing that reason is so frustrating!!!!!
I'm so sorry for this seemingly callous decision. Don't you wish you could just call someone!

Don't those arbitrary "I'm having a bad day" decisions just bite? Especially when they can make all the difference to someone's life and the person making the decision doesn't even know or care.
Here's hoping it still works out somehow!!!

John and Julie...we share in your extreme disappointment...not a time for many words...we will be covering her in prayer for what God has in store for her

Dear Friends, the disappointment is very real for all - most specifically for you four. It is so unfortunate for Altynai, and quite likely not a real surprise for her - having lived her life full of disappointments. That statement is so sad. Just know that she KNOWS you all love her deeply and she is greatful for all your support. You have brought dignity to her and to her family - hope to her siblings and glory to HIS name.

NOW - it is time to take back what the enemy stole from us. THIS IS WAR!
