Gearing up for Christmas

The last few days, we have been busy getting organized and ready for all the Christmas Celebration... in fact as I am typing this, the kids from Swetly put are having a celebration. Tuesday there will be a meting in Tokmok with our key people before the fun begins .
Along with all our regular kids that we work with, we are sending Christmas money to the kids that are living in the tent city's in Osh. It is bad enough to have gone through the horrors of the riots and killing's and end up living in tents on the side of a burned out village, but now winter is setting in.. As I think about that I wonder about these kids that we helped during the summer.
It is a little comforting to know that we have someone on the ground working to make life a little more bearable for them, but it sure is a far cry from what is needed ... I asked for a bit of an update from Gulya, I had hoped for a little better.. But I guess it is what it is and that's what we have to work with. I am just so thankful to all of you that we will be able to do something...

Here is the response that we just got from Sergey and Anya .

"We get your e-mail we wil do that. This morning Sergey called for Gulya in Osh and ask her about Christmas and how people doing now. She said what people skered to go to home and live in tent. Because peopel who back to home some time polec to come and take Uzbek people. And nobody not explain where they go and whay. Gulya send for Sergey her all information from her pasport. And she soooooooooo happy what she can do more for Uzbek paople. Good time to do that. Thanks for that paople who gave that all money. Thanks what thay all try doing for all us Kyrgyz people here big blessing. God bless you all."
