A couple days ago we were joking around with the girls , and we told Bekah that if she found and looked at her Christmas presents before Christmas, she would get coal in her stocking... Humm she thought, That would be good... I think maybe she has spent to much time in Central Asia... either that, or just enough... because she then said "Can we get coal for Christmas?.. I'd love that!".. For many of their friends, life in the winter is not comfortable, it is not fun, in fact it is down right awful.. Two young boys in particular came to our minds, this would be there first winter in a few that they have not been in the orphanage, and we know that it will be hard for them... an x-box would have no value to them, but can you imagine their excitement last night when Acel and Talant arrived at their door with a big bag of coal for them....
Even more exciting was when Sergey was able to call to one of the orphanages that has run out of coal, and tell them that there was a truck with 10 tuns of coal on the way......
Kind of brings new meaning to getting coal in your stocking....
