"packing it all in "

Just booked the tickets .... We are so excited to be heading home in a few weeks .. To add to the excitement Jody will be returning with us again... she is always such a blessing and encouragement to everyone there... Unfortunately Hannah is not able to join us this spring... I know that she is very disappointed about that as will the kids be when they find out... But I did hear from Sam that PI does have a new Dream reporter that would like to come along, so Phil will be taking Hannah's place.
Julie, Bekah and Jody will be staying for 2 weeks before returning to work and school... As you know our first and foremost purpose of any travel team is to bring encouragement and awareness to our incredible team of dream agents on the ground... Secondly we want to reconnect with those that they are helping on a regular basis... We often joke, "It takes a week to greet everyone, and a week to say your good buys".. This simply means that we can take no time for granted, we have to make the most of every opportunity...kind of like a "POWER VISIT"..
We have this list of must See's and must do's while the girls are there... things like dump runs and Banana parties, as well as orphanage outings, and hospital visits just to name a few... in fact our dream agents have about 20 different stops planed for us in a 10 day period then to top it off, a couple days of shopping with the kids from the orphanage... This is going to be one busy time...

One of the most bitter sweet days for me I am sure will be when we meet with the staff from the baby hospital... Just Thursday, they were sharing with Anya how so many babies are not getting the care they need, and some are dying because their parents can not afford to get them to the Capital to have a simple heart test.... As well the hospital right beside the baby hospital has been experiencing the same difficulties... .. Yesterday we took possession of top notch EKG machine as well as a portable EKG. ... They were donated in a combined effort in memory of baby Mathew .
Lori, Matthews Mom wrote "Stephen Curtis Chapman's "One Little Heartbeat" has been a staple of my pregnancy music, and I dreamed about the impact my little Matthew would make on the world... Now, though he is no longer with me, his memory can be honored by an EKG machine in Kyrgyzstan, and one little heartbeat at a time, he can help save other babies' lives." I am honored that I will be able to make this delivery personally. Although we have never met in person, John and Lori have been true friends to us over the last year and a half since we came to know them...and I know that they are special to so many in this blogger amd FB community...

Although this trip we are focusing more on connecting and and restoring hope and Dignity, their are a couple small projects that are still out there, like some more flooring for the hospital, washrooms for the orphanage... and a couple homes we know of that need a little help... I guess we will have to wait and see what comes in before we can commit to these...

I can't wait to post all the updates as we make the rounds. We could use your help on this one... if you would like to help us or sponsor an event, you can use the button below...
