A special visit

A bunch of photo's to start with... all in the wrong order... storey following ... I just love editin the blog with all the internet sensorship here..hahaha

Today was a really great day We stared early with a trip to the Bazaar to do some shopping for one of the orphanages. We wanted to help them with a family room for the kids from one of the sections. The first stop was to the furniture section to haggle for a good chesterfield set and a new carpet that matched... We got them a really good set that has 2 chairs, a love seat and a couch. All very solid construction.. Then an entire trunk load of laundry soap. Our friend Bob who is here to help us for a couple weeks had also brought a couple hockey bags of long under where and leotards for them as well. We got Vlady to load everything up and bring it out to them on the roof of his car.. When we got there , we had lots of time to meet with all the kids in the play yard and have lots of fun goofing around with the camera's .. they love to have their pictures taken... We then had a meeting with the director.. it went very well.. we had a few things to discuss with her, she was very open and agreeable.. besides the room being furnished, we will be putting new doors on the building the girls sleep in . We also paid to have a plumbing problem solved... but the best part was some of the events that we have been able to plan. On Wednesday is the birthday of one of our young friends there, so we have arranged a big birthday party in the orphanage for everyone that has a birthday this month, we will have a little present for each of them, but then we will announce to all of them at that time that we have arranged for a private show by the circus that is in town... It will have to be all hands on deck if we are to pull this one off... not sure how many of these kids have even been out of the orphanage let alone bringing them all at the same time to the circus... should be interesting....

After bringing in the furnature, we has some more time to visit with the kids.. In the group with our young friend were two other kids that we know wll. Both have them we had foundin the dump.. one a couple years ago and one about 4 years ago... It was so nice to see them both so clean, well fed, and happy. they were happy to see us as well.. One of the litttle ones was so "Damaged" when we found him that he was almost wild.. this was the first time that he even let me shake his hand, and by the time we left, he was all smiles and playing patty cake with me .. that may not seem like mutch... but it requires touch... something that would have been out of the question until now...

It was so nice.. the teacher asked the kids if anyone would like to sing for us and our little star lead the group... It was great to see.. especialy for our friend Bob to get to spend some time with the kids...

Here is a little video of that. if it decides to load up... if you are viewing this post from FB you may need to go to www.actofkindness.blogspot.com to view it. We gothome just in time for supper with the LAMb team now that Lynn and Ruby have arrived... it is so nice to have them here ..

Awesome...awesome...awesome....amazed that Vladys car is still together.
Ah yes, to touch.....there is nothing between you and the other person when you touch someone, no law, no rule, no perception, no lie, no doctrine, no space can be there except touch

Blessings

Dan :)
