Sad but no regrets

Today we received some sad news from Kyrgyzstan.  Our senior friend Nadia has passed away .  Many of you will remember her from 4 years ago when she lost her son when her house burned down.  Through the support of many of you, and especially our friends at the Light House in Espanola and Possibilities International , we not only rebuilt her home but have continued to be there for here over the years. It was just a couple months ago that the boys from the farm delivered a winter supply of coal, wood and some food supplies to help her through the winter.  In early September the team from Espanola was back to visit her .. Her "Canadian family" as she would fondly tell everyone.  They truly made a difference in her life, and saw the incredible transformation of her physically, emotionally and spiritually.

It is not uncommon for us to have to say good buy to seniors and those we have helped, but when we can look back at their last days and feel no regrets, this is a blessing.  With Nadia we were blessed.  To see where she came from and where she has spent her final years is a comfort.  Here are a few photos of her journey to restoration over the last 4 years.
